You might think it is bizarre to see your favorite rapper dunking and shooting threes against some of the greatest NBA players but what if it’s possible.

Quite regularly we see NBA players try and pursue rapping but what about the other way around?

P. Miller did this transition from rapping to hooping.

Master P

P Miller or Percy Robert Miller is a rapper, actor, record producer, and former basketball player. He is also known as Master P.  He is the founder and CEO of P. Miller Enterprises.

Miller had a contract with two different NBA teams. One with the Charlotte Hornets during the 1998-99 season and then with the Toronto Raptors in the 1999-2000 season. He then played internationally and in other minor leagues.

Former Basketball player Master P says that Rapper J.Cole says he wants to be in the NBA and is training to do so.

J. Cole is a rapper who has five chart-topping albums as a solo artist, nine Top 40 pop singles, and a dozen Grammy nominations.

Cole has previously spoken about how basketball is a passion of his and in an essay for The Players Tribune he explained how he gave up playing for St. Johns to pursue a rap career.

These rumors about Cole began to arise when he released a commercial for his new Puma basketball shoes.

On Saturday, TMZ did an interview with the No Limit Records founder, Master P, where he revealed that Cole had spoken with him about trying to join the League.

“When I was talking to J. Cole, he was like, ‘You know, big dog you did it. What do you think I would have to do to make it happen?” P relayed.

“To get one of these NBA jerseys, it’s not gonna be easy. It’s gonna be a lot of hate, it’s gonna be a lot of people not believing in you but you know J. Cole, he got the right size, he in the gym.” P said.

P said he gave Cole advice. P believes it’ll be an uphill battle for him, “They’ve been putting their whole life into this. So you’re gonna have to prove you’re worthy of being on the court.”

It sounds like he’s working towards making this dream of being in the NBA a reality.

After Master P’s interview went viral, Detroit Pistons told J. Cole to hit them up for a tryout.

Seems like after all Cole might have a shot and instead of seeing him on a stage we might be seeing him on the court.
