When the NBA shut down on March 11th, it shocked viewers all over the country and across the world. No one was sure if there would be a champion or if the season would even resume this year. Until the idea of ‘The Bubble’ came out. The idea that sticking 22 teams and staff in a secure and safe place would make the season restart possible. Some loved the idea whereas, others doubted it. Though it took some time, NBA Basketball will finally resume today, July 30th! As of July 29th, none of the players have tested positive for COVID-19, so the season will restart as planned. There were scrimmage games this past week which gave viewers a preview to what to expect to see in the rest of the games this season. The teams participating in the restart are the Celtics, Nets, Pacers, Heat, Bucks, Magic, 76ers, Raptors, Wizards, Mavericks, Nuggets, Rockets, Clippers, Lakers, Grizzlies, Pelicans, Thunder, Suns, Trailblazers, Kings, Spurs, and Jazz. The current team standings are listed in the image below.

A few players including Javale Mcgee, Matisse Thybulle, and Troy Daniels have taken on a new hobby and NBA fans are loving it! This new hobby is vlogging. They are recording their “Bubble” experiences and uploading them onto Youtube. In these episodes, they show practices, meals, rooms, COVID testing, and more. These videos are a great way to get a glimpse of what life in the Bubble is like. Many fans feel as though they are apart of an NBA team. 1. I am excited about the restart of the season. The bubble concept is a brilliant idea. This will provide some much needed sports entertainment.
