On March 17, 2020, Tom Brady was traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from his long time team the New England Patriots. Brady was with the Patriots for 20 seasons which set a record for the longest time playing quarterback for a franchise which made this move shocking for many Patriot fans.
In Brady’s first game with the Buccaneers, he threw two interceptions and the Bucs lost 34-23. On October 4th in a game against the Chargers, Brady overcame a first half pick-six and led the Bucs to a 38-31 win. This was the second largest comeback in franchise history.
The conversation of Tom Brady being the ‘GOAT’ has been around for awhile but the way he’s uplifted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers team is like no other. “What he’s doing is setting standards like we have never seen before…he brings everyone else’s play to a level that surpasses what your expectations would be” Jeff Saturday, former football center and current sports analyst expressed.
Throughout the past 17 weeks of this season, Brady has shown how valuable of a player he is. He has brought the Bucs from a 7-9 record to an 11-5 record and now bringing the team to the Super Bowl.
Will Tom Brady be able to lead the Bucs to a championship? Is this the beginning of a new and improved franchise? It seems it is possible and with Brady’s talent and experience, Tampa’s future is looking bright.
