Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Russell Wilson spoke out in a few interviews on Tuesday which sparked trade rumors over the past few days regarding some of his comments. Wilson expressed in interviews that he is frustrated with all the hits he is taking and wants to be more involved in personnel decisions. “Like any player, you never want to get hit,” Wilson told reporters via Zoom on Tuesday. “That’s the reality of playing this position.” “I’m frustrated (about) getting hit too much. I’m frustrated with that part of it.” Wilson said. “I think if you ask guys like Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, you know even Tom (Brady), you know, I think that you saw this year how much he was involved in the process – I think that’s something that is important to me,’’ he added.

Though following these frustrations, when asked whether he is available to be traded, Wilson said “I’m not sure if I’m available or not. That’s a Seahawks question.” In an interview with reporter Mackenzie Salmon, Wilson says “Hopefully I get to be in Seattle for a long time but you never know.”

Ideally, it sounds as if Russell and Seahawks want to continue working together but with these new rumors, other teams may begin to reach out more than they already have. If another team is able to offer something the Seahawks cannot provide, Wilson may think about a trade more seriously.

  1. Knowing that a lot of quarterbacks could get traded this offseason, do you see Russell Wilson getting traded for a Deshaun Watson or Dak Prescott? Where do you think Wilson should go should he request a trade
